A Day of Fun, Community, and Appreciation: DCFC Member Appreciation Day
March 2025 - Last Saturday, we threw a party, and everyone was invited! Member Appreciation Day was fantastic, filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit. It was a day dedicated to showing our appreciation to our valued members, as well as welcoming the community to experience what Dade County Federal Credit Union is all about.
From the moment the event kicked off, the atmosphere was electric. We got our blood pumping with an energetic Zumba class, which was a huge hit! Participants of all ages joined in the fun, moving and grooving to the lively music.
The sweet aroma of freshly spun cotton candy filled the air, while the refreshing taste of snow cones and the savory goodness of hot dogs kept everyone satisfied.
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to connect with our community. We were thrilled to see so many familiar faces, as well as welcome new friends. Our dedicated vendors set up informative and engaging booths, providing attendees with valuable information about their businesses and offering amazing prizes.
Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, we also took the opportunity to honor several outstanding community leaders during a special award ceremony. These individuals have dedicated themselves to making South Florida a better place, and we were privileged to recognize their contributions. Specifically, we recognized Mayor Jose “Pepe” Diaz of the City of Sweetwater, Steadman Stahl, Executive Board President of the South Florida Benevolent Association, Carlos Arguelles, President of the Hispanic Police Officers Association, Jorge L. Romero, loyal member since 1989, Monica Martin, Health Initiative Participant, and Chelsea Morrison, Regional Admissions Counselor. Their tireless efforts in the community embody the spirit of service and inspire us all.
