DCFCU Expanding to Broward County
Dade County Federal Credit Union is Crossing the Line – with a First-Ever Expansion into Broward County
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla., May 1, 2024 – As a long-standing leader in South Florida’s financial co-operative sector, Dade County Federal Credit Union (DCFCU) has emerged as a pioneer in reimagining member-centric banking services and community enrichment. Nevertheless, this highly successful institution is crossing the line – by expanding into Broward County.
For the first time in its 85-year history, DCFCU is planning to widen its service area beyond Miami-Dade County with the opening of an all-new branch in Pembroke Pines, Fla., this summer. DCFCU has been authorized by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), the federal agency that charters and supervises federal credit union operations in the U.S., to open branches outside its primary jurisdiction, and to expand its “field of membership.”
With 10 existing branches between Homestead and Miami Gardens, DCFCU’s unparalleled convenience, state-of-the-art amenities, and comprehensive financial services have been a mainstay of community banking in Miami-Dade County since 1939. However, with the roll-out of the Pembroke Pines branch, DCFCU intends to “turn things up a notch” – by showcasing a bold new step in the evolution of credit-union banking.
In a move to further enhance customer experience and foster a greater sense of community, the new fleet of branches in Broward County will also debut an innovative coffee-lounge feature where members can gather to relax, socialize, and engage as well as conduct banking activities. Intended to be welcoming destination for members and potential members, the lounges will feature hot coffee and cookies for all to enjoy. In celebration of the new branch opening, DCFCU will bring its incredibly popular auto fair to Broward County, May 17 and 18. Current and prospective members will have an opportunity to choose from a great selection of 200 new and used vehicles from multiple dealerships, all conveniently gathered in one location at Vizcaya Park, 14200 SW 55th St., Miramar, FL 33027. They will be eligible to obtain 100 percent financing at super affordable rates as low as 4.49 percent APR, and DCFCU is making the process easy with an online application for pre-approval (visit www.dcfcu.org/carsale). Dade Auto Desk advisors will also be on hand offering expert guidance to ensure buyers find the perfect match. Trade-ins are welcome.
In addition to its commitment to exceptional banking services, DCFCU is deeply invested in the well-being and resiliency of the communities it serves – and Broward County will be no exception. Not only does the organization frequently invest in local businesses and support community development initiatives, but it also offers initiatives aimed at financial literacy, local charities, and community outreach among area schools, municipal employees, emergency response teams, and other essential workers.
Members also benefit from health initiatives including a credit-union sponsored run and walk club. DCFCU membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Miami-Dade and Broward County, or has an immediate family member who does.
As a member-focused financial institution, DCFCU places its members at the forefront, ensuring their needs are met with unparalleled dedication. From Secure Checking and Free Online Banking to Individual Retirement Accounts, Mortgages, and Car Loans, DCFCU offers a comprehensive suite of financial products and services tailored to meet the evolving needs of its members.
