DCFCU Unites with Best Buddies Friendship Walk to Support People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
MIAMI, March 21, 2024 - As a steadfast partner to Best Buddies in South Florida and community advocate for those in need, DCFCU invites friends and family members to join “Team DCFCU,” April 6 at LoanDepot Park
MIAMI, March 21, 2024 –Dade County Federal Credit Union (DCFCU) proudly announces its participation and support for the annual Ed Ansen Best Buddies Friendship Walk, scheduled to take place on April 6,
2024, at loanDepot Park - Home of the Miami Marlins. This event aims to raise awareness and funds for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) while fostering a sense of community inclusion.
For many years, DCFCU has been a steadfast partner to Best Buddies, the nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement which creates opportunities for one-to-one
friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with IDD.
"We are thrilled to once again march hand-in-hand alongside Best Buddies in their mission to promote inclusion and empowerment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities," said Paola Chigne, Vice President of Marketing at Dade County Federal Credit Union. "The Best Buddies Friendship Walk provides us with a meaningful opportunity to come together, support one another, and make a
tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.”
The event, slated to commence with check-in at 8 a.m., followed by opening ceremonies at 9 a.m., will feature a group walk beginning at 9:25 a.m., and concluding at 12 noon. Participants are encouraged to join "Team DCFCU" and invite friends and family members to partake in this uplifting occasion.

participation, or simply spreading awareness, every contribution makes a significant impact in fostering a more inclusive society."
