A Message From Our President

At Dade County Federal Credit Union, we believe that 2019 will be another year of great promise for the Credit Union, our Members and the Miami-Dade region that we so proudly serve. The past year saw us add many improvements and new services, designed specifically for our members. We expanded our outreach into the community to help us to grow our membership and to offer high quality services and financial tools to the many residents of our service area.

Convenience and Accessibility

We continually strive to make our services more convenient for our members, and online and mobile tools continue to grow in popularity. We regularly make additions to our online banking services and look for ways to improve our popular mobile apps. We recently added other services that help members save time and money such as electronic signatures and Docusign for all lending products. We have increased the availability of paperless transactions at the request of our members because we know such services save time and money. When we lower our costs, it enables us to return that savings to our members in the form of more competitive rates on loans and savings products.

We also remain committed to our members who want to visit our branches and meet our employees face-to-face. We recently moved our South Dade branch to 20295 S. Dixie Highway, offering added convenience for Credit Union members in the Town of Cutler Bay as well as other residents and visitors to Miami-Dade County. Positioned on an outparcel of Southland Mall, the branch replaces the Credit Union’s prior location with a larger, state-of-the-art facility including a drive through and additional parking.

Promoting Financial Wellness

Aside from loans and traditional banking services, we also work to offer other services that help our Members, such as insurance and financial planning. We want to help our members with everyday needs but also with planning for a successful financial future, including paying for long-term expenses like higher education and retirement. In addition, we have rolled-out multiple products and services to help members who might be struggling. Our Fast Track Loan helps members resolve credit issues and provides our members with free access to GreenPath Financial Wellness, a financial education and counseling program.

Part of the Fabric of the Miami-Dade

Dade County Federal has been a proud member of the South Florida community for nearly 80 years, and we remain committed to promoting financial literacy and other important causes in our own backyard. In 2018, we began a multi-year partnership with the Miami Dolphins, to help us reach a broader segment of our population. Dade County Federal Credit Union is now a “Preferred Credit Union of the Miami Dolphins,” and we have already worked with the team on several financial literacy events – and we have more exciting plans with the team slated for the near future.

In the past year, our outreach has been substantial, including: holiday events for kids, sponsoring a financial literacy curriculum at a local K-8 center, sponsoring college fairs and university tours through the Education Fund, and making a substantial donation to the Jackson Health Foundation and Holtz Children’s Hospital to fund construction of a new tranquility room for nurses who care for pediatric patients at the renowned hospital.

While our core mission remains to offer the day-to-day financial services needed by our Members, we are continually investing our time and resources to improve our Credit Union and the community we serve.

Happy New Year,

George Joseph
